上海市光大律师事务所成立于1994年，由原中国司法部部长、中国律师协会会长邹瑜先生亲笔题名。
90年代中国政府对海外大型宣传电视片中，唯一推荐的一家律师事务所。
2001年成为首家被邀参加中央电视台《今日说法》栏目的上海律师事务所。
2005年上海第一家由合作制律师事务所改制为股份合作制的律师事务所，成立了六名由律师及行政人员组成的事务所股东会，实行股东会领导下的执行主任负责制。事务所现已拥有律师、律师助理、行政人员四十余人，并拥有专家顾问团。
2006年开始，与以色列Balter, Guth, Aloni&co.律师事务所和Herzelia Capital有限公司合作，开始专业为犹太商人在华投资提供全程法律服务。
2008年，事务所转制为合伙制律师事务所。

Introduction
Shanghai Everbright Law Firm was established in 1994.The name of the law firm was inscribed by Mr Zhouyu who was the former minister of Ministry of Justice P.R.C and the chairman of China Bar Association. It was the only law firm recommended oversea in the large popularized documentary shot by Chinese government in 1990s, and the first law firm in Shanghai which attended the programme named <Legal Report> produced by CCTV in 2001.
In 2005, Everbright became the first law firm which structured as a joint stock cooperative firm, and established a Board of Shareholders constituted by six lawyers and administrators, being the first law firm restructured its system from stated-owned to equity cooperative system in Shanghai. Presently, Shanghai Everbright Law Firm possesses more than 40 personnel including attorneys, legal assistants and administration staff. We also have our own consultant mission. During these years, Everbright was repeatedly chosen from public appraisal as "excellent firm" and many layers in it were chosen to be "excellent individual".
From 2006, Everbright began to corporate with Herzelia Capital Ltd. and Balter, Guth, Aloni&co. Law Offices in Israel, jointly providing legal service to Jewish businessmen in China.
